Styleislam® - Street Style and Multimedia for Young People with an Attitude
Company History
Styleislam®, our company, was formed by our creative master mind, Melih Kesmen, in 2008. Everything started with a T-shirt he made for himself in the wake of the riots against the Muhammad cartoons. He printed a logo on it saying “I love my prophet”. As he could not identify with those Muslims that burnt flags as a reaction to the controversial cartoons, he intended to issue a creative, yet intellectual statement with his T-shirt. Whenever he wore the T-shirt, he was asked questions about it and was involved in constructive conversations. This was the starting point for the formation of Styleislam® whose products have enjoyed a growing international popularity since then.
Corporate Identity
Our label, Styleislam®, represents contemporary lifestyle products in terms of street style and casual wear, always with an oriental touch, because that is where our roots are. We design clothes and accessories. Apart from this, we have got a lot of freebies, including downloads for all our brothers, sisters, and all those that are interested.
A range of multimedia products with style and character.
The sketches, logos, and slogans on our products are not only funky, but are also meaningful. We convey the religion of peace by means of young people’s language without losing our values. Check out our products and show who we are. Styleislam® - go spread the word.

What do the media say about Styleislam®?
Media in German
“In the meantime, Styleislam has become one of the first names which is mentioned when it comes to the topic of pop-Islam. This term was coined by Julia Gerlach, an Islamicist, designating an Islamic youth culture, whose representatives are very religious on the one hand, yet they like using symbols from pop culture on the other hand.”
(TAZ, a German broadsheet)
“It is a modern, very educationally oriented, religiously modern movement which defines itself as clearly German.”The website of Styleislam was representative of this group…”
(Zeit Online, German broadsheet website)
“Styleislam, that is the fan shop for the Muslim 2.0. A lot of religious messages which are presented in a nicely hip way.” (3sat, a programme on TV)
